CARSON : Sisters Held for Attempted Murder of Grandfather

Share

Twin sisters who claim they were abused by their grandfather are being held in connection with his attempted murder in their Carson home early Sunday morning.

Sheriff’s deputies say the 21-year-old twins, Marla and Ramona Hidalgo, arrived at the Carson sheriff’s substation at the same time their grandfather, Raymond Hernandez, 73, was filing a complaint on the incident a few hours after it occurred. The Hidalgos admitted trying to shoot their grandfather, according to deputies, and were arrested for investigation of attempted murder. Arrested later was Marcelino Conde, 26, who allegedly provided the women with a handgun and knew of their plans. The three are being held in lieu of $500,000 bail each.

The gun misfired and Hernandez was not injured. Deputies did not disclose the nature of the alleged abuse. Hernandez told authorities he was a strict disciplinarian and had recently warned his granddaughters that they would have to move out because they were not following the household rules.
