Nesen Plans to Open Rolls-Royce Dealership

Is Ventura County a Rolls-Royce market?

Gary Nesen, president and chief executive of Thousand Oaks’ Nesen Motor Car Co., thinks so.

Early next month, his firm will become the county’s only retailer of Rolls and its sister British import, the Bentley.

“We’ve done marketing studies, and we expect to do well in Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and in the western county as well,” Nesen said. “We haven’t set a sales target, but we’re starting out with two Rolls and three Bentleys.”

The cars are priced from $147,000 to as high as $337,000 for a Rolls limousine.

Nesen, who has eight other dealerships, is adding yet another luxury car line, the Excalibur, which sells for $55,000 to $65,000.

Almost all buyers of these cars will be business owners, doctors, lawyers or movie people, Nesen expects. “We consider Malibu and the Valley to be part of our marketing area. Almost half our sales already come from those areas.”
