SANTA ANA : Hewes School to Hold Recycling Fair
Hewes Middle School is holding a recycling fair Saturday to raise money and promote the school’s recycling program. Admission is free. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A variety of recycled items will be on sale, such as clothes, sports equipment, used books and video games, organizers said. In addition, there will be a fashion show, a classic car show, food booths and information booths on recycling. The school will also be collecting aluminum cans and newspapers.
Used eyeglasses and holiday cards may also be brought in. They will be donated to St. Jude Ranch, a shelter for abused and neglected children.
The money raised will be used to buy books and equipment for the school, at 13232 Hewes Ave.
