Thomas, whose “Two Dogs Running” is the tale of a sharpshooting 16-year-old girl in the 1930s who joins forces with a young ex-con to rob banks.

Other award winners were Robert Dorian, Adrianne Stone, Patricia Mayo Ford, Joseph Swinger and Sarah Werner.
