New Image Wins FDA Approval of Dental Lens

New Image Industries, a maker of dental products, said the Food and Drug Administration approved a new lens for its AcuCam intraoral cameras.
The tiny Microdontic Lens, one-half millimeter in diameter, will allow dentists to look inside a patient’s root canal for the first time.
Canoga Park-based New Image expects to begin marketing the lens this summer at a retail price of about $1,500.
