CareLine Inc.: The Irvine provider of ambulance services reported an annual loss of $3.4 million, or 51 cents a share, including a one-time loss of $2.4 million from early repayment of debt. That contrasted with a profit of $500,000, or 5 cents a share, for the previous year. Revenue rose to $32.4 million from $10.3 million as a result of the acquisition of nine ambulance service providers during 1993. The company, which began doing business on Feb. 10, 1992, went public in December, 1993. For the fourth quarter, the company lost $2.3 million, or 32 cents a share, contrasted with a profit of $124,000, or 1 cent a share, for the same period a year earlier. Three-month revenue increased to $16.8 million from $4.2 million.
