THOUSAND OAKS : Local Vendors to Showcase Products

Thousand Oaks residents will have a chance to see the latest products from dozens of local vendors at the semiannual Business Showcase, scheduled March 8 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel.

Sponsored by the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, the evening event will feature more than 40 local companies, offering everything from cosmetics to financial services to water-purification systems. Entrepreneurs will also provide fresh-baked cookies and exotic brewed coffees to visitors.

“It’s mainly for people to network and see what we have available in the community,” said Nancy Lynch, who coordinates special events for the chamber. “It’s even amazing to me to see how much is available.”

For the first time in a decade, organizers will not charge admission to the showcase, which will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Lynch said she expects more than 200 visitors to browse through the booths.

Vendors participating in the showcase include banks, communications companies and travel agents. Westlake Medical Center and Conejo Valley Days will also staff informational tables. Renting space at the business showcase costs $75, and Lynch said a few tables are still available.
