At a Disadvantage
As an independent candidate for the presidency in 1992, I did quite well at the personal level. People with whom I shared my ideas about how to dramatically improve America seemed quite impressed.
But we do not have a manner by which unwealthy and/or boldly independent-minded people can share their views directly with the American people. Only persons with lots of money or persons backed by persons who have lots of money can get sufficient exposure via the various media for sale to achieve political viability.
I believe this situation to be unfair to the American people, and it has proven absolutely disastrous for our nation. We are on the skids. Our government is breaking us.
At any rate, from now until July 4, 1996, I shall be preparing once again to campaign independently for the presidency of the United States and completing a book entitled “Why I Want the Presidency and What I Will Try to Accomplish Should I Get the Presidency.” But I doubt that without publicly sponsored campaign exposure I will be able to snatch the presidency from Bill Clinton because Americans “just won’t read like they used to”--we have fallen so in love with our boob tubes.
