New Voit President: David McKenney, 50, is the new president of Voit Commercial Brokerage, an Irvine-based company with 110 brokers.

Formerly managing director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Southern California operations, McKenney was responsible for the brokerage, management services, development consulting and appraisal services.

McKenney said he hopes to expand the brokerage, which is a subsidiary of Voit Cos. of Woodland. It now has offices in Irvine, Anaheim, San Diego, Carlsbad, Chula Vista and Paramount.

“The goal is to create a statewide presence in the lead cities of California,” he said. “We have established very successful operations in Orange County and San Diego, but we want to move into San Francisco and Los Angeles.”

The company, formerly Scher-Voit, changed its name to Voit Commercial Brokerage when co-founder Larry Scher retired in September.
