Kellogg Teams With ConAgra: Kellogg Co., the nation’s largest cereal maker, and ConAgra Inc., the second-biggest food processor, joined forces to scoop up a share of the breakfast market for health-conscious consumers. Starting this summer, Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg will introduce multi-grain, ready-to-eat cereals under ConAgra’s Healthy Choice brand name. It is the first such licensing deal for Kellogg and the first time that Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra has let an outsider use the Healthy Choice name since launching the brand six years ago. ConAgra gets the advantage of Kellogg’s skills at marketing breakfast food. Other than egg substitutes, the Healthy Choice product lineup has failed to feature breakfast items.
