CYPRESS : 2 Vacant Buildings to House Businesses

Share

Two vacant business buildings on Ball Road will soon be rehabilitated and opened as an auto repair shop and convenience store.

The City Council last week gave the owners permission to begin rehabilitating the two buildings, which are next to one another.

The new businesses are expected to open within months. The store, M & M Market, will be open from 7 a.m. to midnight. It will sell a variety of food and beverages. Alcoholic beverages, however, will not be sold there.

The auto shop, M & M Auto Repair, will offer engine tuneups, oil changes, smog testing and brake repairs.

City officials said that by allowing the businesses to open, the abandoned, vacant buildings would get cleaned up and provide another place where city residents could service their cars or shop for food. The new businesses will also provide sales tax revenue for the city.
