Community College District Reorganizing

Share

The Los Angeles Community College District announced Thursday that it is reorganizing its administration--effectively cutting three positions--in an effort to cut costs.

Spokesman Fausto Capobianco said that within the district’s Educational Services Division, the positions of director of student services and director of instructional programs have been consolidated into a new position called senior director of educational services.

That post has been filled by Victoria Munoz Richart, former vice president of academic affairs at Mission College in Sylmar.

The directorship of student services has been vacant for several months, Capobianco said.

An administrative analyst position in the office of the president of Mission College has also been cut and the person who held the position reassigned.

Also slashed was the position of executive assistant to the district chancellor.

Rosalind Goddard, who vacates that position, will become acting associate dean of administrative services at Southwest College in Los Angeles.
