John Kruk’s testicular cancer has not spread to other parts of his body, the Philadelphia Phillies’ team physician said, but Kruk might undergo radiation treatment as a precaution. . . . Shortstop Manny Alexander had a tumor removed from his left leg and will miss the remainder of the Baltimore Orioles’ spring training camp. George Elias, who performed the procedure, said Alexander, 23, will recover completely.

Michael Jordan says he will go to the minor leagues for at least one year in hopes of making the major league roster if Chicago White Sox officials say that’s what he needs. Jordan was a defensive replacement in right field in Friday’s 2-0, split-squad victory over Kansas City, but he did not bat. . . .
