Advanced Interventional Systems Announces $14.1-Million Loss

Advanced Interventional Systems, an Irvine medical laser company, said it lost $14.1 million, or $1.40 a share, for 1993, compared to a net loss of $9.9 million, or $1.04 a share, for 1992. Revenue fell 9%, from $14 million to $12.8 million. A net loss of $5.4 million, or 54 cents a share, was recorded for the fourth quarter, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $6.5 million, or 67 cents a share. Sales declined from $3.4 million to $2.9 million.
