The Graphix Zone, a multimedia products and services company, said it plans to raise up to $3.75 million in an initial public offering.

Charles Cortright, chief executive, said the 5-year-old company filed a registration statement for the offering this week with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company will offer 1 million shares of stock at $3.25 to $3.75 a share. Other shareholders will sell 100,000 shares. Irvine-based Cruttenden & Co., an investment bank, will underwrite the offering. The company, founded five years ago, develops computer compact disks, which are becoming the media of choice for storing multimedia software.
