Rep. Dornan’s Advice to Patterson

Share

* I took notice in your coverage of the Democrat convention in Orange County (March 6) that my former opponent of 1984 had a few nasty things to say about me.

Interesting that Jerry Patterson, a paid lobbyist for the last 10 years, and who most occasionally asks for time with members of Congress including myself, would burn his bridges this way. Plus, his wife is running for supervisor!

After his congressional election defeat, we’re told Jerry’s choice of soothing reading material was Elizabeth Kubler-Ross’ “On Death and Dying.” There’s some good advice in that book about forgetting.

Let it go Jerry. . . . Can’t we all get along, as Rodney (King) asked?

That way you can keep your lobbying job.

(R-Garden Grove)
