Having the best record in the NBA since the All-Star break offers a bandwagon, and there’s nothing a star would rather ride.

Madonna was missing, but Ray Floyd, Andre Agassi and Brad Gilbert were there Saturday night to see the Heat win its fourth game in a row and 12th in 14 tries, 106-95, over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Miami.

Deion Sanders was around to argue about his nickname.

“The Heat is Prime Time,” said Glen Rice, who scored 33 points on 13-of-17 shooting. “It gives us added incentive to play that hard with these superstars coming out to watch us.”

Brian Shaw, reportedly Madonna’s favorite, doled out a season-high 15 assists.

“There’s been more hype lately for so many reasons,” Shaw said. “We’re starting to play better at home and are 10 games over .500 for the first time. Everybody’s expecting us to win now.”

Cleveland is on a five-game losing streak and played without injured starters Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance and Mark Price, as well as reserves Tyrone Hill and John Battle.

San Antonio 107, Sacramento 100--David Robinson scored 48 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Spurs at San Antonio.

The Spurs’ Dale Ellis made the 1,000th three-pointer of his career. Ellis is the first player in basketball history with 1,000 three-pointers.

Phoenix 105, New Jersey 93--Dan Majerle scored 14 of his 22 points in the third quarter, helping the Suns hold a double-digit lead throughout the second half at Phoenix as they snapped a two-game losing streak.

Golden State 116, Dallas 107--Latrell Sprewell scored 24 points and three teammates added 20 or more at Dallas, helping the Golden State Warriors snap a seven-game road losing streak and hand the Mavericks their 11th loss in a row.

Indiana 107, Utah 103--Rik Smits made two free throws to break a 101-101 tie with 34 seconds to play, lifting the Pacers to a victory at Indianapolis.

The Pacers took a 15-point lead into the fourth quarter and led by 18 with 9:29 to play. The Jazz rallied behind Karl Malone, who scored 16 of his season-high 37 points in the fourth quarter.

Houston 106, Detroit 88--Reserve Mario Elie hit all nine of his shots and pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds at Houston to lead the Rockets past the Pistons.

The Rockets won their fourth in a row and snapped a three-game Detroit winning streak.

New York 105, Boston 91--Patrick Ewing scored 35 points and had 14 rebounds and the Knicks won at New York.

New York held Boston scoreless for the first 6:46 of the fourth quarter and shares the NBA post-shot clock record streak of holding the opposition under 90 points with the 1954-55 Syracuse Nationals--eight games.
