Behind the Scenes : From Her Closets Come 200 Years of Vanity and Expression

People have been wearing clothes for more than 100,000 years, not just to cover themselves, but to improve their appearance, express how they feel and to react to their society. To show how clothing reflects the social and economic pressures of its time, the Multicultural Awareness Committee of Chapman University in Orange presented a fashion show depicting “200 Years of Women’s Herstory” last week, in honor of Women’s History Month.
