The Fritz B. Burns Foundation has awarded $60,000 to St. Joseph’s Center in Venice.

A portion of the grant will be used to support the Bread and Roses Cafe, a sit-down restaurant that feeds homeless men, women and children.

The cafe serves about 25,000 meals annually, executive director Rhonda Meister said. “This support will ensure that this type of food program continues.”

Funds will also go to the St. Joseph Center Child Care and Parenting Program, which provides services to impoverished children and their families.
