GNP Rose in 1993: South Korea’s gross national product rose 5.6% in 1993 from the previous year, up from 5.0% in 1992, according to the Bank of Korea. The central bank said active construction and services industries, steady growth in capital investment and brisk exports contributed to the rise in the GNP. GNP amounted to $328.7 billion last year, the central bank said. Per capita income came to $7,466, it said.
