Golden West Homes: The manufacturer of prefabricated houses said Wednesday that it is planning to open a factory near Denver. The Santa Ana-based company said it should have the factory open within five months. The new plant, to employ about 150 workers, is expected to produce factory-built homes for shipment throughout the Rocky Mountain area, one of the nation’s fastest growing housing markets.
