Plaza Home Mortgage Reports $6.6-Million Profit for ’93

Plaza Home Mortgage Corp., the Santa Ana mortgage banking company, reported a profit of $6.6 million, or 57 cents a share, for 1993, which included a third-quarter after-tax charge of $9.3 million related to the decline in interest rates. That compared to a profit of $14.5 million, or $1.31 a share, recorded for 1992. Annual revenue rose 63% to $136.8 million from $83.8 million. For the fourth quarter, profit increased 61% to $5.3 million, or 45 cents a share, from $3.3 million, or 31 cents a share. Three-month revenue more than doubled to $45 million from $21 million.
