Juilliard Quartet Kicks Off ‘In Recital’

The second season of KUSC Radio’s “In Recital at Ambassador” broadcasts, featuring programs recently recorded in performances at Pasadena’s Ambassador Auditorium, starts Sunday with a concert by the Juilliard String Quartet.
Opera star Beverly Sills hosts the series, which runs for 13 consecutive Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Future highlights include concerts by pianist Simone Pedroni, winner of the 1993 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition; flutist James Galway and guitarist Kazuhito Yamashita; the Camerata Musica of Berlin; the Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers; and flamenco guitarist Paco Pena.
The broadcasts will be heard in Los Angeles on KUSC-FM (91.5), in Ventura County on KCPB-FM (91.1), in Santa Barbara on KFAC-FM (88.7) and in Palm Springs on KPSC-FM (88.5).
