No Radioactivity Found in French Reactor Blast

PARIS —
French authorities said Friday they had found no radioactive contamination from an explosion at a disused nuclear reactor in southern France Thursday.
The blast, in an experimental fast-breeder reactor being dismantled at Cadarache, killed one worker and injured four.
Authorities did not evacuate the area around the sprawling nuclear complex, at Cadarache, 45 miles northwest of Marseilles. The reactor was halted 11 years ago.
