From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Honda Recalls 191,000 Cars: American Honda Motor Co. said it is recalling the Hondas and Acuras to correct defects in some automatic transmissions. The company said a clip connecting the shift cable to the shift lever may fail, so the position of the lever wouldn’t match the actual gear position. That could result in unexpected movement of the car or no movement, Torrance-based American Honda said. No accident or injury related to the defect has been reported to Honda. The recalled vehicles are 1992, ’93 and ’94 Civic coupes, sedans and hatchbacks, 1993 del Sols and 1994 Acura Integra coupes and sedans.
