160 Jewish Tombstones Desecrated in Russia

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia —
About 160 tombstones have been badly damaged, some smashed to small pieces, in the worst attack on a St. Petersburg Jewish cemetery in 20 years.
Jewish leaders said Wednesday that the graves were vandalized on the night of April 4 but that there had been a delay in informing police and the public.
