More Money Flows Into Money Market Funds: Faced with falling prices in the nation’s financial markets, more money was funneled into money market funds in the week ended Wednesday, the Investment Company Institute said. Assets of the nation’s money market funds increased by $6.34 billion, or 1.1%, to $607.36 billion, from $601.02 billion on April 6, the institute said. The report provides more evidence that investors moved money from stock and bond funds, an ICI spokeswoman said.
