Share

Organizers are predicting that more than 4,000 runners will take part Sunday in a race to support the city’s schools.

The 13th annual SchoolPower Laguna Beach Classic 10K is the largest fund-raiser for local schools. This year, $1 from each entry fee will go directly to the rebuilding of Thurston Middle School, which was burned in the October fire.

Runners will begin their trek at the Sawdust Festival Grounds, racing through downtown, along Coast Highway and through Laguna Canyon.
