I enjoyed Patricia Cohen’s article, “Heat & Soul,” (March 20) about her travel experiences in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
Your readers may wish to know “News From Brazil,” (tel. 213-255-8062) a local publication with national distribution, carries information about tours and flights to Bahia and Brazil at more competitive prices than those mentioned in the Guidebook. And one does not need to travel to Brazil to enjoy the dance-fight art of capoeira, which Ms. Cohen ably described. The “Brasil, Brasil Cultural Center” (tel. 310-840-2794) offers capoeira classes and demonstrations.
