First American Financial Corp.: The Santa Ana real estate financial services provider reported a profit of $9.4 million, or 82 cents a share, for the first quarter. That compared to earnings of $8.7 million, or 77 cents a share, for 1993’s first quarter, which included a gain of $4.2 million from an accounting change. Revenue increased 33% to $372.4 million from $279 million.
