Wyle Laboratories: The Irvine marketer of electronic products posted a first-quarter profit of $2.8 million, or 23 cents a share. That compared to earnings of $1.3 million, or 11 cents a share, for the comparable period last year, which included a onetime charge of $3.2 million from an accounting change. Sales reached a new quarterly high of $197.2 million, up 43% from $137.6 million a year earlier.
