U.S. Joins Whistle-Blower’s Suit Against Rockwell: The U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles said it joined the civil suit filed in 1992 by a former Rockwell machinist, David Vosoughkia, who worked in the company’s Downey plant. His suit alleges that Rockwell charged to the NASA space shuttle program labor costs for employees who had actually been working on other programs. Seal Beach-based Rockwell, NASA’s prime contractor, said its own investigation of the allegations “did not find any evidence of wrongdoing.” But Rockwell added that it had received only limited information from the government because the suit, which seeks unspecified damages, was sealed for more than a year.
