* Karen K. Rojina has been appointed president and chief operating officer of FlashTax Inc., an Irvine tax-return software subsidiary of Beneficial Corp. Rojina, who had been vice president of systems, succeeds David A. Snyder, who resigned as president and chief executive to pursue other ventures. Before joining the company in 1991, Rojina was president and founder of Advanced Systems for Cellular, a software developer for the cellular telephone industry.
