Golden Systems Reports Profit Triples in Quarter

Golden Systems Inc., a Simi Valley maker of switching power supplies for personal computers, said its fiscal fourth-quarter profit tripled as revenue surged 55% from a year earlier.

For the quarter that ended March 31, the company posted a profit of $209,000, compared with $83,000 in the same period a year earlier. Sales in the latest quarter soared to $9.06 million, from $5.83 million.

For the 12 months that ended March 31, Golden Systems’ profit tripled to $778,000, from $235,000 in the prior fiscal year, while sales jumped 38% to a record $29.4 million, up from $21.3 million. Jay Tandon, president and chief executive officer, said the company has increased capacity at its manufacturing plants in India.
