Urethane Technologies Inc.: The firm said Tuesday that it has won a $120,000-a-year contract with a Tempe, Ariz., firm to manufacture specially designed rubber floor mats to warn visually impaired people of potential hazards, such as stairways and street corners. The initial shipments of mats, scheduled for June, will be sent to hospitals, restaurants and commercial and public buildings. The Santa Ana company later hopes to sell similar mats to subways, train stations and bus companies.
