Nature Program--A free program on rain forest preservation will be presented at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oak Canyon Nature Center.

The center is at 6700 Walnut Canyon Road in Anaheim. To reach it, take the Riverside Freeway east to Imperial Highway. Exit and head south to Nohl Ranch Road. Turn left and travel about three miles to Walnut Canyon Road, and turn left again. Go past the Anaheim Hills Golf Course; the nature center is at the end of the road, parking is on the left.

Bay Tours--A guided tour of the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve will be offered at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The tour is free and lasts about 2 1/2 hours.

Those who would like to participate are asked to meet at Shellmaker Island off Backbay Drive in Newport Beach. For more information, call (714) 640-6746.

Marsh Bird Walk--The Sea & Sage chapter of the National Audubon Society will hold a bird-watching walk at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary for both adults and 11- to 16-year-olds at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The sanctuary is next to the chapter’s Audubon House in Irvine.

Advance reservations are not necessary. Beginning and advanced bird-watchers are welcome. Binoculars will be provided for the walk to participants who don’t have their own.

To reach the Audubon House, where the walk will start, take the San Diego Freeway to the Jamboree Road exit, head south. Turn left at Michelson Drive, and then make a right at the second signal onto Irvine Ranch Water District property. Follow the paved road and “Duck Club” signs to the house.
