Two U.S. Citizens Sentenced in Bank Swindle: The Americans, convicted of trying to swindle $10 billion from a Chinese bank, lost their appeals and were sentenced to prison terms of 14 and 20 years. It was one of the most serious swindles ever attempted against a Chinese bank, and consequently the sentences were among the heaviest handed down in China against U.S. citizens. Francisco Hung Moy, 45, and Raymond Lee, 44, Chinese Americans, were being held in a prison in Shijiazhuang, 174 miles southwest of Beijing. The official Xinhua News Agency said Moy was sentenced to 20 years in prison and Lee to 14 years.
