California Asic Buys Lasarray’s Assets

California Asic Technical Services said Monday that it has acquired the assets of Lasarray Corp., a move that will allow California Asic to expand its manufacturing and design operations. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

California Asic, based in Irvine, provides custom computer chips (ASICs) to the electronics manufacturing industry. The company said it now has complete capability to design, test and manufacture ASIC devices.

Lasarray, formerly based in Irvine, recently ceased operating in California to concentrate on European equipment operations.
