T-HQ Loses $2.56 Million on Slow Software Sales

Share

T-HQ Inc., a Calabasas publisher of software for Nintendo and Sega video games, reported a first-quarter loss of $2.56 million, compared with a profit of $398,000 a year earlier. Revenues in the three months that ended March 31 were $5.03 million, down 58% from $12.03 million in the first quarter of 1993.

The company attributed the loss to its efforts to sell inventory to raise cash and a decrease in software sales. Especially hard hit were software sales for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the company said.
