Where Are They Now? : WILLIE DAVIS

Davis made his debut with the Dodgers in 1960 and remained the club’s starting center fielder for the next 13 years. Nicknamed “Three Dog” because he wore No. 3 and was “fast as a greyhound,” he helped the team to three National League pennants and two World Series championships. He holds six of the Los Angeles franchise’s 15 major batting records, including hits, 2,091, and total bases, 3,094.

Davis, 54, still lives in the Los Angeles area. He and former teammate Tommy Davis are writing a book about the Dodgers of the 1960s.
