Britain OKs Delta-Virgin Accord: Transport Secretary John MacGregor approved the marketing alliance between Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways that would allow the two to link flights across the Atlantic. The deal still requires approval by the U.S. government. Delta and Virgin have said they plan to begin code-sharing, or linking flights, by November. Under the deal, the airlines would carry each other’s passengers to their next destination after they arrived in Britain or the United States.
