* Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.: The 1994 Southern California Cajun & Zydeco Festival at the Rainbow Lagoon, next to the Long Beach Convention Center. Acts include D.L. Menard & the Louisiana Aces, Walter Mouton & the Scott Playboys, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas, the Poullard Brothers and Joe Simien & Lisa Haley. Also, food booths and dance, music and cultural workshops. Single-day tickets are $14.50, two-day tickets are $27 in advance; $17 per day at the gate. Walter Mouton & the Scott Playboys and Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas headline a dance Saturday night from 8 to midnight at the Convention Center Ballroom. $8 advance or $10 at the door. * Saturday, 8 p.m.: Queen Ida & the Bon Temps Zydeco Band play in the gymnasium at Saddleback College, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo. Food fair starts 5:30 p.m. in the courtyard. $10 for Queen Ida, reservations recommended. Food fair benefits Angels, the college’s arts support group. (714) 582-4656.

* The Bon Temps Social Club of Orange County will sponsor dances on June 17 at the Culver City Masonic Hall, 9635 Venice Blvd., Culver City, and on July 29 at the Ebell Club of Anaheim, 226 N. Helena St., Anaheim. Doors open at 7 p.m., dance lessons at 7:30 p.m.; band plays 8 to 11 p.m. $8 to $10.
