TUSTIN : School District Appoints Principal

The Tustin Unified School District has appointed Louise Saladino principal of Robert P. Heideman Elementary School. She will begin July 1.

Saladino will replace Pat James, who was recently named assistant principal at Columbus Tustin Middle School.

Saladino has been in public education for 19 years. She is currently the principal of Jordan Elementary School in the Orange Unified School District. She had been a principal at two other Orange Unified elementary schools--Silverado and Esplanade.

Saladino began her career in 1975 at the Montebello Unified School District teaching reading, math, arts and a variety of other subjects for kindergarten to eighth-grade students. In 1984, she joined the Fullerton School District as assistant principal at Nicolas Junior High School.

She has been with the Orange Unified School District since 1986. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences and a master’s degree in educational administration from Whittier College.
