Countywide : Links Service Group Awards Scholarships

Share

Students from colleges and high schools across the county received scholarships recently from the local chapter of Links, a national service organization.

The scholarships, which ranged in size from $300 to $750, went mostly to African American students, said Laura Rycraw, who heads Links’ scholarship committee.

“This is to help out with their educations. The need is there,” said Rycraw. “Sometimes, the (scholarship money) starts an education. Sometimes, it helps people continue their education.”
