BRIEFLY : Museum: Models Needed for Displays
The Petersen Automotive Museum, which opens Saturday on the Miracle Mile, is seeking people to serve as models for wax mannequins to be used in displays--people, that is, who can make a $20,000 donation.
The mannequins will depict such figures as 1930s car salesmen, 1920s gas station attendants and chauffeurs for Hollywood stars.
No experience is required. The donation is tax-deductible.
The $40-million, 300,000-square-foot museum chronicles the evolution of Los Angeles car culture.
