Family to Seek Retrial in Truck Death: Attorneys for Georgia couple Thomas and Elaine Moseley, whose $105.2-million judgment against General Motors Corp. was reversed on appeal, said they are preparing a new lawsuit against GM charging that a defective pickup truck caused their son’s death. Shannon Moseley, 17, was killed in a 1989 crash in which his GMC pickup exploded. The parents said their case will be stronger than the one last year that led to the huge damage award. The Georgia Court of Appeals on Monday reversed a 1993 negligence verdict against GM and voided the damage award, saying the prosecutors should not have been allowed during the trial to make repeated references to other cases accusing GM of selling dangerous pickups.
