BRIEFLY : Education: Former Rep. Coelho Joins Loyola Marymount Trustee Board

Former U.S. Rep. Tony Coelho has joined Loyola Marymount University’s board of trustees, one of four new trustees announced by the university.

Coelho, a Merced Democrat who rose to majority whip in the House before resigning from his seat in 1989, is president and chief executive officer of Wertheim Schroder Investment Services, an asset management firm in New York.

The other new trustees are R. Chad Dreier of Maryland, president and chief executive officer of the Ryland Group Inc.; Robert Forgnone of Whittier, a partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and Christopher Wrather of Brentwood, a trustee of the Wrather Trusts.
