BURBANK : Warner Bros. Unveils New Office Building

Warner Bros. unveiled a glossy 150,000-square-foot office building Thursday that will house between 400 and 500 employees of several divisions.

The Triangle Building, at Olive and Pass avenues in Burbank, will contain such departments as consumer products, domestic television distribution, domestic television marketing and advertising, and international television and distribution.

Burbank city officials and Warner Bros. Chairmen Robert A. Daly and Terry Semel appeared at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday for the Spanish colonial-style building, which will house divisions moving from the Warner Bros. lot and the Tower Office Center at 3900 W. Alameda Ave.

Along the walls of the five-story, pink-and-green edifice are large billboards of the Warner Bros. movies “Maverick” and “Wyatt Earp.”

Employees are starting to move in and should be finished by July 1, said Dan Garcia, company vice president of real estate and public affairs.

“The thought was that our company was growing and absorbing a significant amount of leasehold space,” Garcia said. “We owned the property (at Olive and Pass) and thought it was appropriate to develop this corner of our property.”

Garcia declined to reveal how much the multimillion-dollar project cost.
