TLC’s long-delayed second album will probably be delayed again. Trio member Lisa(Left Eye) Lopes may be facing drug and arson charges stemming from the fire that destroyed the Atlanta mansion owned by her boyfriend, pro football star Andre Rison. A spokesman for LaFace Records says the project is up in the air, pending the outcome of Lopes’ situation. The single, “Creep,” was due next month with the album to follow in August.

Ice Cube is launching a new independent record label called Lench Mob. The first release will be a single by rapper K-Dee, who debuted as a guest on Cube’s last album, with an album to follow. Next will be a compilation of unreleased tracks by Cube and such associates as Yo Yo, Da Lench Mob and Don Jaguar. Cube, though, will continue to record for Priority Records. . . .

L.A.’s veteran power-punk band Bad Religion has just finished recording its first album for Atlantic Records with producer Andy Wallace. The set is due in late August or early September. . . .

Taylor Dayne has teamed with Meat Loaf producer Jim Steinman for the song “Original Sin,” the first single from the soundtrack to the movie “The Shadow.” The film’s director, Russell Mulcahy (who launched his career a decade ago doing videos for the likes of Duran Duran) is directing the video for the song. . . .
