Fuller Brush Changes Hands: Fuller Brush Co. is being sold again, this time to CPAC Inc., a Leicester, N.Y.-based chemical manufacturer. Fuller Brush, founded in 1906 by Coffman Shenk of Gettysburg, Pa., became a household name through door-to-door sales of brushes, cleansers and other home necessities by more than 12,000 sales representatives. Under the tentative agreement, CPAC will acquire all assets and certain liabilities of Fuller Brush, taking a heavy debt burden off a group of Kansas-based investors who bought the company from Sara Lee Corp. in 1989. The Fuller acquisition will boost CPAC’s business by 50%, the company said.
